According to an article which was recently published by Zee News, the fire broke out in the wee hours of Monday, 29 July 2024. If reports are to go by, part of the roof of the restaurant caved in because of the fire. As many as eight firefighting vehicles reached the spot to douse the fire.
They were successful in their attempts; however, around six people were injured. As per an official cited in the article, the fire department received the call at around 3:20 AM. The official also said that a major disaster was averted.
This is because the restaurant stored commercial gas cylinders. The number of gas cylinders stored here was higher than officially permitted. If the fire had caught the cylinders, it would have led to a huge tragedy. A video shared by ANI shows the firefighters putting out the last of the fire.
