The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the first look of the soon-to-open Cuffe Parade Station on Mumbai Metro 3. This station is part of the final phase of the Aqua Line, Mumbai’s first underground metro line.

“History in the making! Very soon, Metro will arrive in South Mumbai for the first time ever! Here’s a sneak peek of the upcoming #CuffeParade Station on Metro Line-3,” the X post read.

Since last year, the Mumbai Metro 3 has been launched in phases. The first phase of the line, Aarey Colony to Bandra-Kurla Complex, was inaugurated on October 7, 2024. The second phase, between BKC and Worli, was opened on May 9, 2025. The final phase is set to open soon and stretches from Acharya Atre Chowk in Worli to Cuffe Parade. Once the Aqua Line becomes fully operational, it will connect North and South Mumbai and significantly save travel time.

Mumbai Metro 3, also known as Aqua Line, is the city’s first underground metro line, stretching 33.5 km from Aarey in the north to Cuffe Parade in the south. The line has 27 stations, of which 26 are underground stations and one is at-grade. This line will help ease road congestion and also reduce the load on the Western Line between Bandra and Churchgate.

Earlier in September, MMRCL also shared the first look of Mumbai Metro 3’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Metro Station. With a modern façade and arched entrance, the station is also nearing completion.
