Five New Skyscrapers That Will Adorn Dubai’s Skyline

We’ve been giving you regular updates on projects that will show up in the city very soon. Well, with the number of projects approved each year, it definitely is hard to keep track of what’s coming up. So, here we bring to you five skyscrapers that will hit Dubai skies very soon. These Instagram-worthy structures are sure to bring in a massive change in Dubai’s skyline.

From Dubai’s towering light house to a mega construction in the shape of Shaikh Mohammad’s fingerprint and a shimmering Swarovski tower, here are projects that will bring in a massive change in Dubai’s skyline.

1. Dubai Lighthouse

A towering 135-meter high Lighthouse is the hero of Meeras’ 20-million-square foot harbor project. Lighthouse Dubai will house a luxury hotel along with a viewing deck. Apart from that, the lighthouse will also have a 150,000 sq ft cruise terminal which can accommodate over 6,000 passengers. The tower is also expected to have an entertainment and retail space, a yacht club, shopping mall, hotels and residences.

2. Burj Jumeira

Dubai holding is launching a mega construction in Downtown Jumeirah. The oval-shaped tower, Burj Jumeirah will measure 550 metres and will have with a whole lot of interesting things to offer. But what’s more attractive is that the base of the tower is said to be in the shape of Shaikh Mohammad’s fingerprint, and will be reserved for cultural activities.

Retail outlets, water fountains, an outdoor amphitheater and multiple viewing decks are also part of the  tower. The sumit of the tower will house a sky lounge, interconnected with a sky -restaurant.

3. Swarovski Tower

The Australian crystal giant Swarovski is all set to construct a shimmering crystal tower in Marina. Decked with crystals and marbles on the inside, the luxurious tower will be no short of glamour.

The project consists of 2 towers linked by a podium. The towers are said to have 373 luxury apartments ranging from a studio to two, three bedroom houses and a palatial four-bedroom penthouse. You can also spot high-end shops by designer brands.

4. 78 Storey Uptown Tower

The mega tower is designed by Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill and will be home to all things high-end including restaurants, homes, offices, and much more. Accor Hotels’ luxury lifestyle hotel brand, SO will also occupy a small space in the tower. The hotel is said to be launched in 2020. Rockwell Group, a New York architecture group will be designing the interiors of the tower.

5. Dubai Steps

A project that was approved way back in 2016, Dubai steps is a project that will occupy the Deira side of the Creek. The project will look like steps (of course), adding yet another attraction in the UAE. Once completed, the project is expected to have over 500 steps, leading you all the way up to the tower.
