Travelling by flight is expensive but booking a first-class ticket adds a few thousand rupees. And with increasing demand, companies are planning to add a wonderful twist to their seating! Airlines are aiming to make first-class travel more luxurious with cabins that resemble mini hotel rooms. Take a look at the features of these new flight cabins.
New First Class Flight Cabins!
With sofas, double beds, televisions, workstations, closets and minibars in first-class cabins are starting to resemble miniature hotel rooms. Despite slow economic growth and rising living expenses, the investment is nevertheless going on. After being grounded by Covid and unable to travel, airlines are wagering that enough customers will spend money on flying in elegance.
Under a programme called Lufthansa Allegris, the German airline will spend $2.7 billion over two years to upgrade its long-haul aircraft. Additionally, Qantas Airways is exhibiting a luxurious new first class, which is generally out of reach for regular passengers; the closest they typically come is a stealthy glimpse as they make their way conga-line-style to the plane’s exit doors.

Why Are They Planning To Bring These Cabins?
According to the International Air Transport Association, the extraordinary devastation caused by Covid over the last three years. This has cost airlines over $200 billion in losses. First class has turned into a potential goldmine for them as they desperately need to claw back part of that money. According to IATA, demand for premium travel, which includes business class, is back to 86% of 2019 levels, while demand for all air travel, which includes economy class, is at 81%.
Even though first-class tickets cost more than ten times as much as regular economy seats, there is still demand for both cash reservations and the infrequent chance to redeem points accrued on credit cards during the pandemic.
First-class cabins on Qantas and Lufthansa have new looks. The new rooms from Lufthansa have wardrobes for additional storage as well as heated or cooled seats.
