It has been over a week since Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki erupted. From evacuating locals living nearby to advising people to stay away from the volcanic eruption, the condition is turning worrisome. Several people suffered injuries and some lost their lives, unfortunately. Now, the smoky ash from this calamity is disrupting regular flight operations to and from Bali. Many Flights Connecting Bali & Other Cities Have Been Disrupted

The continuous volcanic eruptions of Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki turned into a major catastrophe. The present conditions worsened to such an extent that scheduled flights have been cancelled by airlines as thick layers of ash are covering all around. Regular flights to and out of Bali have been disrupted due to the ongoing volcano in Indonesia. Operating aircraft in between layers of ash is impossible and risky due to extremely poor visibility.

Flights operated by different airlines globally decided to halt their journeys in view of the eruptions and formation of dangerous ash clouds surrounding different places in Bali. According to official information updated on the Denpasar International Airport website, flights in and out of Singapore have been cancelled. Scheduled journeys connecting different airports in Australia and Bali have been called off.

Flights scheduled to take off for Shanghai and Australia have stopped their departures. As of now, three Australian airlines grounded journeys in and out of Bali, according to a report by The Guardian. Harmful volcanic ash left many passengers stranded in airports worldwide. Due to the sudden cancellation of flights, they have no other option than to wait for the next updates about departures.

Till now, over a dozen aircraft have been stopped by authorities from taking off from different airports worldwide due to the volcanic eruptions in Indonesia. Several airlines including Air Asia, Jetstar, Qantas, and Virgin Australia halted flights to and from Bali.

A report by The Sydney Morning Herald revealed that four flights bound for Denpasar have been halted at Melbourne Airport. In addition, three flights to Melbourne were cancelled. Five flights from Sydney Airport and three flights to the airport have been called off.
