If you are a frequent traveller, who is always looking for places where you can fly from Dubai for a quick vacation or for work purposes, then you are no stranger to flydubai. Yes, and now this Dubai-based carrier has announced that it will soon be launching daily flights to Antalya in Turkey. Here’s all you need to know about the service that begins in June.

Flydubai To Begin Flights To Antalya

Dubai-based carrier flydubai announced on February 25 that it will be launching daily flights to Antalya in Turkey from June 5. These daily services will be from Terminal 2 of the Dubai International Airport. In fact, flydubai will also begin seasonal summer services. Yes, these will be to Bodrum and Trabzon in Turkey between the months of June and September.

As revealed by the airline, besides Antalya, flydubai also plans to expand its network in Turkey to six destinations, which are Ankara, Bodrum, Istanbul Airport, Trabzon, and Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport.

What Do The Reports Reveal?

For those who are still wondering, Ankara is a stunning destination that is considered to be a gateway to the Turkish Riviera. It’s located on the coast of Turkey and the flight begins just when it’s perfect to visit the city. In fact, this development comes at a time when the airline revealed its strongest financial results in 15 years.

In fact, the airline revealed in the reports that it had recorded a profit before tax of AED2.5 billion! This means for the financial year which ends on December 31, 2024, there was a 16% increase as compared to that of 2023. In fact, it carried 15.4 million passengers just in 2024! This was also an increase of 11% as compared to 2023. In fact, the airline already flies to 131 destinations in 55 countries. Additionally, 97 of these are in the underserved markets.

So, this expansion plan of introducing flights to Antalya is hardly surprising.
