Flydubai Signs Interline Agreement With SriLankan Airlines; Unlocking 16 New Destinations For Flyers

Recently, flydubai, which is the sister airline of Emirates has now signed an interline agreement with Sri Lanka’s national carrier, SriLankan Airlines. Announced on September 9, Monday, this partnership aims to offer more travel options on select routes between the two countries. This means travellers get to travel on more routes between the UAE, Sri Lanka, and even beyond!

With the signing of the interline agreement, passengers of flydubai will now get access to 16 destinations on SriLankan Airlines network. Yes, this spans across Southern and East Asia, the Middle East Australia. This means it includes important cities like Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore, and Tokyo. Besides this, the line agreement also allows the passengers travelling with SriLankan Airlines to connect via the Dubai aviation hub to over 30 destinations operated by flydubai in Africa, Central, the Middle East, and Central & Southeast Europe. So, people will now get to travel to cities like Naples, Tashkent, Zanzibar, and even Mumbai.

It’s worth mentioning that according to Gulf News, the new agreement offers passengers the convenience of a single-ticket itinerary. Not to mention through checked baggage and coordinated flight schedules, flying is bound to become easier. In fact, the carrier has also opened more than 90 new routes, which were previously not directly connected to Dubai. For those who aren’t aware, flydubai already has a growing network of over 125 destinations in 55 countries.

Sounds like travelling on these roads is going to become a lot easier for passengers of both airlines.
