Flying To Japan With Etihad Airways & Emirates To Be Easier As They Expand Their Operations!

Etihad Airways and Emirates are the flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates. And it’s no secret that both these carriers support frequent flights between Japan and the UAE creating a scope for strong trade, tourism, and business relations. And soon, this connectivity with Japan is going to get better as the two carriers plan to expand their network in the country.

It’s no secret that currently, Etihad Airways and Emirates support frequent flights between Japan and the UAE. At present, Emirates offers daily services to Tokyo-Narita, Tokyo-Haneda, and Osaka while Etihad Airways offers seven weekly flights to Tokyo. However, to meet the high demand for travel between the two countries, both airlines are planning to scale their operations. Yes, according to a report by Khaleej Times, it was revealed that the civil aviation authorities of both countries are working together for increasing air traffic. This is being done by adding more scheduled flights and plans to hold an air transport meeting in the latter part of the year to increase air traffic, according to a quote from the General Civil Aviation Authority in the same report.

Etihad Airways To Increase Weekly Flights To 12

If you also wondering about the flights, it is expected that Etihad Airways plans to increase flights to Japan in October, which will raise its total number of weekly flights to 12. It’s worth noting that the airline launched its first flight to Japan in the March of 2010. Similarly, it also has plans to scale its operations in Japan by adding flights to Osaka from October onwards for which Boeing 787-9 aircraft will be used.

At this point, it should be mentioned that Emirates flies to 26 cities in 10 regions in Japan ever since beginning its operation in 2002, the airline is flying daily to Osaka and Tokyo. Moreover, after the pandemic-related travel restrictions and requirements were lifted, the airline resumed its A380 service to Tokyo-Narita airport! Not to mention, the airline also resumed its services to Tokyo-Haneda in April 2023, thereby recovering its Japanese network, while also offering more choices and flexibility for travellers.
