Hyderabad Restaurants To Operate Till 1 AM For Thriving Nightlife
As per a report by India.com, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during an assembly session allowed restaurants and food joints in Greater Hyderabad to operate till 1 AM. The extended operating hours of these restaurants address the citizens’ grievances to improve the nightlife of the city while maintaining public safety. While restaurants are now permitted to remain open till 1 AM, liquor stores are directed to shut down at 11 PM.
The CM said in the assembly that he held a meeting with the police commissioners of Hyderabad, Rachakonda and Cyderabad on July 24 and 25. He instructed them to permit eateries to carry on operation till 1 AM under the three commissionerates. The CM said this while discussing activities for sustainable urban development in Hyderabad. However, he made it clear that wine shops must be closed as per the rules as he was against promoting liquor consumption.

Moreover, he stated that it is the responsibility of the government to protect the heritage and culture of Hyderabad and take its brand image to further heights. Apart from bringing a change to its nightlife scenes, Telangana is also working on a new sports policy. CM Revanth Reddy stated on Friday that his government will formulate a new sports policy with a telos to promote sports in a major way.
The Chief Minister further revealed that they have already held talks with the BCCI about establishing an international-level cricket stadium at Begari Kanche. He appreciated Haryana’s policy to support sportspersons.
