Folly & Publique To Close This April? Here’s The Reason Why It’s Happening!

In a recent report by Caterer Middle East, it was revealed that Folly and Publique, which are the flagship venues of Gates Hospitality, will soon close. This was revealed to them by Chief Executive, Naim Maadad. As it happens, the report also mentioned that these Dubai restaurants located in Souk Madinat Jumeirah, will be serving their last meals on April 30.

Folly & Publique To Close In April?

It was recently revealed that Folly & Publique, which are two flagship venues of Gates Hospitality will soon be serving the on April 30. The report by Caterer Middle East mentions that this decision will be announced later in the week. The report also mentions an open letter sent by Naim Maadad, which revealed that the brand is constantly trying to keep up with the fast-paced market, like Dubai. As a result, the tough decision had been taken to introduce the next chapter in the stories of Folly and Publique.

The Restaurants Opened 7 Years Ago

As such, these two restaurants opened around seven years ago and they were both celebrated names in the culinary scene of the Emirate. Not to mention, the neighbourhood has seen a massive facelift. So, while they finalise what this will look like, people are invited to dine at their venues for a month, that will be filled with celebrations and delectable treats.

It’s worth mentioning that the open letter mentions that most of the team members have been retained within the group. Not to mention, people will see many familiar faces at other hospitality venues around Dubai. With the motive of evolving, this decision had been reached.

For those who aren’t aware, Folly offers an informal take on modern dining while Publique offers a vibrant bar and restaurant to the guests.
