This time, Panchal took to her Instagram handle to lay emphasis on the importance of striking the right balance in your diet with food combinations. When two complementary dishes are paired together, they in turn become a superfood. So, here are 5 food combinations that are actually superfood when eaten together.
1. Dal With Rice
A no-brainer in almost every Indian household, dal-chawal or dal-rice is food for the soul. Interestingly, this classic combination is packed with essential nutrients. Shweta Panchal informs that while dal is loaded with a specific protein called lysine, rice has sulphur-filled amino acids, this makes the pairing ideal for your health. It’s a complete protein in itself.
2. Yoghurt With Nuts
The next time you eat a bowl of dahi or yoghurt, don’t forget to add nuts into it. The health expert believes that by bringing together these two ingredients, you enjoy a complete nutritional profile in one bowl. There’s protein from yoghurt, fats and fibres from nuts. So, your meal would be more satiating.
3. Turmeric With Pepper
