In a recent report by Mint, Qatar Airways Flight QR816 flying from Doha to Hong Kong was diverted to Ahmedabad airport, as per ANI. The flight that took off around 9 am from Hamad International Airport, Doha, was diverted due to a Cabin pressure drop at Sardar Vallabhai Patel International Airport around 2:40 pm. Zero casualties were reported by the airlines to ANI.

e& UAE and Sharjah Airport Authority have joined hands to provide a free SIM to every incoming tourist, according to a report by newswire.ca.(Cision). The arrangement is to provide enhanced and immediate internet access to guests who land in Sharjah for better accessibility. The free SIM will be eligible for 24hours with 10 GB to locate hotels, bookings and more through maps and more.

5. UAE Skies To Be Lit Up By A Rare Celestial Comet

According to a report by Gulf News, the UAE skies will witness a rare event of comets this month. Lemmon Comet (C/2025 A6) would pass through, lighting up the sky, making it visible to the naked eye. A spokesperson of the Emirates Astronomical Society informed Al Khaleej newspaper that it would be visible from October 17 to 20.
