Free Parking, Metro Timings & More Announced In Dubai For Eid al-Fitr; Details Inside

As the UAE celebrates Eid al-Fitr on March 30, Sunday, the nation is in for a four-day long weekend. As a result, the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority has also announced revised working hours for all services during the holiday. They will run from Saturday, March 29, to Tuesday, April 1 and regular working hours will resume on Wednesday, April 2. Customer Happiness Centres and paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro and Tram, Marine Transport and vehicle testing centres have also been affected. Take a look!

Dubai Announces Operations Hours Of Public Services For Eid

Public parking will be free of charge during the Eid al-Fitr holiday. However, this excludes the multilevel parking terminal. Moreover, the free parking period in Dubai will run from 1 to 3. Not to mention the parking fees will resume on 4. Coming to vehicle testing centres, these will be closed from Shawwal 1 to 3. And the regular operations are going to resume from Shawwal 4. Similarly, Customer Happiness Centres will also remain closed during the same period. While the Smart Customer Happiness Centres will be operational in Al Barsha, Al Kifaf, Umm Ramool, Deira, and RTA Headquarters,

Operational Timings For Dubai Metro & Tram, Bus And More

Coming to the Dubai Metro and Tram, the Red and Green line stations will operate on the following days at these timings –

  • Saturday, March 29 – 5 AM to 1AM (next day)
  • Sunday, March 30 – 8 AM to 1 AM (next day)
  • Monday to Wednesday, March 31 to April 2 – 5 AM to 1 AM (next day).

However, the Dubai Tram will operate from Saturday to Monday from 6 AM to 1 AM. While on Sunday, the services will start at 9 AM and will continue till 1 AM of the next day.

Talking about the Dubai Bus and Marine transport, these are also going to be operational at different hours, and the latest timing differs from place to place. You can find the complete schedule of the same on the official website of the RTA. However, it is worth mentioning that bus route E100, which runs from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, will be out of service. This will be from the afternoon of Ramadan 28th until Shawwal 3. During this period, passengers are therefore advised to use the Route E101 that runs from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi. Not to mention, E102 will also be suspended during the same period.

So, with a change in the timings for public services in Dubai, you might want to take note of the same if you are also planning to travel during the Eid holiday.
