From A New Walkway To A Heritage Museum, Sharjah Ruler Launches 3 New Kalba Tourism Projects

The ruler of Sharjah is constantly introducing projects that will enhance the tourism industry for the emirate. And for this purpose, he has launched three new projects in the emirate. Yes, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, who is the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has revealed several new projects in Kalba, and we are here to tell you all about them.

Ruler Of Sharjah Unveils 3 Kalba Tourism Projects

Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi has unveiled a new walkway, which is a part of the Kalba Gate Project. At the Hanging Gardens, it will connect this green area in Kalba to Al Hefaiyah Lake. Not to mention, a new museum and park, which surrounds the flood-devastated Khor Kalba Fort have also been planned. The museum will be focusing on the local heritage and customs. Yes, the Kalba Gate Project is a new museum, which will showcase the Heritage aspects. As a result, it will include customs and traditional & folk songs as well.

Other Projects Announced In The Emirate

The development comes after Phase 1 of Najd Al Meqsar, which is a luxury hospitality and heritage tourism destination in Khorfakkan, Sharjah was opened. The first phase spans across 17,210 m² and is also part of a broad restoration effort in the area. The aim is to develop eco retreat tourism in the emirate. Not too long ago, a moon-shaped project was also unveiled in the city plans. Situated 815 m above sea level, the first floor will have a restaurant, an open cafe and a reading room while the ground floor will comprise house viewing platforms, a prayer room, and a multipurpose hall.

With so many new innovative facilities and a premium location, the aim is to attract investment in artificial intelligence and communication technologies. And once complete, this destination is bound to attract not just locals, but people from across the UAE.
