Keeping this in mind, a software company called Tripplo has revealed some of the worst airports in the UK when it comes to average delays. According to this study, the little airport in Scotland’s Aberdeen has emerged at the top with an average delay of around 21 minutes! Read on to learn more about this study.

Software company Tripplo did an intensive study and revealed the top 10 airports with the longest delays in the UK. This study was based on the numbers provided to them by the Civil Aviation Authority for the year 2023. According to this study, the tiny Aberdeen Airport has the worst delays in the UK.

This Scottish airport sees an average delay of 21 minutes. This result was concluded after studying the airport’s pattern with 6,757 flights. In December 2023 alone, the airport saw an average delay of 26.04 minutes! Interestingly, this airport is frequently visited by the British Royal Family. This is mainly due to the fact that it is the closest airport to the Balmoral Estate. The royal estate is about 45 miles from the airport.
