In March this year, Swiggy Instamart was operational in 27 Indian cities. Now, ahead of the festive season, the quick commerce platform has expanded its operations in 43 cities across India! In the last two months, they launched operations in Rajkot, Thrissur, Mangalore, Kanpur, Udaipur, Warangal, Salem, Amritsar, Bhopal, Varanasi, and Ludhiana.

A strong uptake for quick commerce services in Tier 2 and 3 cities has been noticed in this expansion. According to Swiggy Instamart, this strategy reflects its commitment to making everyday needs accessible and convenient for customers across India. While the company insists on the densification of Swiggy Instamart’s store network in major metro cities, they are also exploring new markets for future growth.

People in these new cities have also welcomed Swiggy Instamart with open arms! Reportedly, a store in Mangalore set a new benchmark and reached 1,000 orders in a single day. This is way faster than many larger metro cities. Also, Thrissur has emerged as one of the fastest cities for Instamart. A store in this city was able to deliver over 1,000 orders with a delivery time of less than 4 minutes.
