From ‘Animal’ To OTT Shows, Bobby Deol Talks About His Versatile Roles

Abrar Haque in the 2023 film ‘Animal’ opened the door to reveal his tanned and chiselled physique. Donning just green trousers and an emerald green necklace with a knife in his hand was enough to make audiences lose their minds! It was played by none other than, Bobby Deol! The 55-year-old actor met our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, for one of our episodes of Sunday Brunch. We talked about his film career and how he made a banging comeback in Bollywood.

Bobby Deol Talks About His Roles In The Current Times

Lord Bobby made a terrific comeback in Bollywood with the 2018 film ‘Race 3’ with co-stars Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan and more. His notable character in ‘Race 3’ made the higher-budgeted projects cast him and explore his acting skills more. In turn, he has given some impressive performances to date, like in ‘Housefull 4’, ‘Animal’, ‘Aashram’ and more. 

Who can forget last year’s ‘Jamal Kudu’ hook step that took the Internet by storm? Everyone attempted the famous act of balancing a whiskey glass on the head step! It is interesting to note that his character was speech-impaired and wooed the audience without uttering a single word!

Bobby revealed to us that he signed contracts with bigger names and better scripts because he wanted to be known among the newer generations. He was on the right track when he did ‘Race 3’ and ‘Housefull 4’. The actor told us that a huge number of kids came up to him after ‘Housefull 4’ because it was a comedy movie. On the other hand, with ‘Race 3’, the newer fans of Salman Khan recognised him.

He Feels Grateful For Everything

Bobby continued, “It kind of collectively helped me move forward. I always believe in the magic of the silver screen. It cannot be beaten by the OTT platform.” He believes that he was fortunate enough to make a comeback with blockbuster hits. Along with that, he wants to thank the audience for appreciating his newer works. He strictly believes that everything falls into place at the right time.
