In the last 2 weeks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated a long list of significant projects in different parts of India. 1. Karnataka

It was on March 14 when the Karnataka Cabinet approved the plans for two new metro lines in Bengaluru. Known as a part of Phase 3 of the Namma Metro, it is likely to be operational by 2028. One of the metro lines will connect J P Nagar and Kempapura, covering 32.5 km. And the second one will link Hosahalli and Kadabagere covering 12.5 km.
2. Delhi
Union Minister Anurag Thakur recently announced two new Metro rail corridors in Delhi-NCR. Cabinet has approved the plans for these two corridors upcoming in the national capital. One of the new metro lines will connect Lajpat Nagar and Saket G-Block. Another new link will be Inderlok and Indraprastha. As part of the Delhi Metro Phase-IV, the budget for the construction is ₹8,399 crore. Covering a distance of 8.385 km, the line linking Lajpat Nagar and Saket G-Block will connect the Silver, Magenta, Pink, and Violet lines. Another new metro line will cover 12.377 km and it will be an extended part of the Green Line. It promises seamless travel to Haryana’s Bahadurgarh region.
3. Kolkata
Three newly inaugurated metro stretches of Kolkata have just started their services on March 15, 2024. On March 6, PM Modi inaugurated the services at Kavi Subhash, Esplanade, and Majerhat metro stations. On Friday, regular services began between Howrah Maidan and Esplanade Green Line (Green Line), Kavi Subhash and Hemanta Mukhopadhyay (Orange Line), and Joka and Majerhat (Purple Line).
