To eat or not to eat, that is the question you will ask yourself once you see these food candles! We recently stumbled upon an Instagram page called ‘House of Drip’ and we confess, at first glance, we mistook it to be a food-related page! But, in our defence, this Bengaluru-based artist does make candles that look like real food. Don’t believe us? Scroll on and see for yourself!

House of Drip Candles That Look Good Enough To Eat!

Have you ever seen something that looks very real but is actually not? Well, that’s what you will feel about the candles from House of Drip as well! A brainchild of Bengaluru-based Deepa Yashwini, House of Drip is known for its scented food-themed candles. She makes them from scratch with material sourced entirely from Indian vendors.

These artisanal candles are made from soy wax and tend to produce less soot. For fragrance, they usually use chocolate, vanilla, coffee, strawberry, and rose scents in their candles. What will catch your eye at this store is their realistic-looking food candles. Biryani, vada pav, litti chokha, samosa & chai, sushi, pizza, burger, momos, chai and Parle-G, you can find candles inspired by them all on House of Drip’s website!

Now, don’t even get us started on their dessert candle menu! They have candles inspired by tres leches cake, cheesecakes, doughnuts, croissants, tarts, ice creams, and lots more.

More About The Artist & Her Famous Indian Sweets-Inspired Candles

Deepa Yashwini is a Bengaluru girl through and through! Seeing the lack of creativity and designs in most candles available in the market, she thought of making food-themed candles in 2021. She started by making candles inspired by Indian sweets and that got her a lot of success in her initial days.

One of her most popular candle designs to date is the Motichoor Laddoo candle box. You can get them in a box of 4 or 6 and trust us, they look real enough to eat! Besides that, you can also order candles inspired by ras malai, gajar ka halwa, soan papdi, gulab jamun, and peda.
