1. Dubai Civil Defence Quickly Douses Yacht Fire

Dubai Civil Defence had a tough Sunday morning. At exactly 8:24 am, teams got the SOS about a yacht catching serious fire at Dubai Harbour. Like true heroes, first responders from the Marine Fire and Rescue Station and Al Marsa Fire Station raced over and were on the scene by 8:28 am. The yacht? Sadly, it was declared a medium-scale incident after the vessel was fully destroyed. Investigations are now underway to figure out what went wrong. Meanwhile, extra applause for the fire squads for acting faster than our alarms on a Monday.

2. Dubai Garden Glow Bids Farewell To Zabeel Park

End of an era, folks! After dazzling us for a whole decade, Dubai Garden Glow at Zabeel Park officially wrapped up its final season on 6 April. But don’t start sobbing into your glow sticks yet,  the team promises a new location and a new concept soon. While they keep the suspense alive, Zabeel Park itself is prepping for a glow-up of its own under the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. Fun fact: Therme Dubai (hello mega water world) will open here by 2028!

3. Yas Waterworld Levels Up This Summer

Because bigger is always better, right? Miral, Abu Dhabi’s theme park wizards, just dropped the news at Arabian Travel Market Dubai that Yas Waterworld is getting a major upgrade this summer. Get ready for 12 shiny new rides and slides, brand-new dining spots, and endless excuses to get sunburnt while having the time of your life. Yas Waterworld’s expansion promises wet, wild, and wonderful fun for every family member,  from the cautious paddlers to the adrenaline junkies.

4. Campa Cola Pops Into Oman’s Scene

Nostalgia tastes like cola, and Oman’s about to sip it in style. After making a fizzy comeback in India, Campa Cola,  yes, the OG drink your uncles bragged about,  is hitting Oman’s shelves. Reliance Consumer Products is rolling out Campa Cola, Campa Lemon, and Campa Orange across Oman, delighting Indian expats and first-timers alike. Grab a can, pop it open, and brace yourself for a trip back to the ‘90s,  no DeLorean required.
