From Croissants To Sandwiches, What’s For Breakfast At G20 Delhi International Media Centre?

At the G20 Summit in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bharat Mandapam. This is the venue of the renowned G20 Summit. And here, an International Media Centre is built to house journalists from across the world as they cover this prestigious event. At the International Media Centre, read on to know what was served for breakfast on the morning of September 9, the first day of the G20 Summit in Delhi.

G20 Delhi Summit: International Media Centre Has All-Veg Menu For Breakfast

According to a report by Moneycontrol, the International Media Centre has 9 work zones with state-of-the-art facilities. There is high-speed Internet access, 4 media briefing rooms, specific zones for foreign and embassy officials and 6 interview rooms. As per Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting this building will accommodate 3000 media delegates.

According to him, the media hub has “one district, one product” display, that exhibits Indian art and culture. Anurag Thakur reviewed this media hub ahead of the G20 Summit in Delhi on September 5. So, what did journalists from across the world eat for breakfast at the International Media Centre?

Journalists Take To X To Share A Glimpse Of The Dishes Served

Mayank Bhardwaj, a Reuters journalist, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a picture of the breakfast buffet. In the picture you can spot fresh golden croissants, brown bread sandwiches and white bread sandwiches. He also shared pictures of the media hub which is spacious with comfortable chairs so journalists can witness the entire event and cover it. In his caption, he mentions that the breakfast was an all-vegetarian spread.

Nayanima Basu, a Defence Editor for ABP Live shared a picture of the vast buffet table. In her caption, the journalist mentions that it was last last-minute decision to remove non-veg food from the menu. She adds that the reality is that 70 per cent Indians eat non-vegetarian food.

Ajeet Kumar, Senior Sub-Editor at India TV News shared a video of the dishes served for breakfast at the International Media Centre during the G20 Summit. The pure-vegetarian breakfast menu includes Aloo Paratha, Idli, Vada, Kaju Matar, Dal Tadka, Jeera Ka Pulao, Kulcha and desserts.
