Ahead of the upcoming G20 Summit in New Delhi on 9 and 10 September, the police are taking significant steps to welcome guests properly and the continuation of the meeting with ease. Foreign delegates from different parts of the world are visiting India to attend the summit. And to make the summit a major success, concerned authorities are issuing new guidelines to follow for some days.
Delhi Police Initiated Some Rules Ahead Of The G20 Summit
The Delhi police have recently announced a notice stating the ban on operations of several flying devices. Facilities such as drones, paragliders, hot air balloons, and more are being prohibited from flying over the jurisdiction of the National Capital Territory in the capital city, according to a report by India.com. Delhi police banned the flying of all sub-conventional aerial platforms from 29 August to 12 September. Some of the flying objects are:
- Hot Air Balloons
- Microlight Aircraft
- Paragliders
- Quadcopters
- Remotely Piloted Aircraft
- Small Powered Aircraft
- Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
- Unmanned Aerial System Services

Sanjay Arora, the Delhi Police Commissioner shed light on the distress regarding the probable risks to the attendees residents, and all the arrangements of the G20 Summit. The issued notice stated if someone does not follow the guidelines and operates the flying objects during the mentioned days, they will be punishable u/s 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
Flights Might Get Cancelled For A Few Days
Many airlines have requested the Delhi International Airport Ltd to cancel some flights during the G20 Summit, according to a report by The Times of India- IndiaTimes. Some reports are buzzing on the Internet mentioning that airlines are requesting cancellation for not having enough area to park flights. The Delhi International Airport Ltd recently shared a statement and clarified all kinds of reports.
The venture stated that there is enough space for parking aircraft and this has no connection to the chances of cancelling flights during the G20 summit. It is also expected that about 160 flights will see a change in schedule as airlines requested cancellation of flights. They are taking such steps to provide better flying experiences.
