From self-driving taxis to flying taxi ports, and from budget Oman getaways to pistachio-laced chocolate bars, the GCC’s throwing out innovation and indulgence in forms of updates. Whether you’re a new parent, a tech junkie, or just really into affordable bus trips, there’s something here with your name on it.
1. Baby Expo Bounces Back In Dubai

Expectant parents and seasoned pros alike can look forward to a weekend of awe-inspiring discoveries at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Presented by Blaura, this year’s edition brings over 250 world-class brands, expert tips from 100+ speakers, and plenty of hands-on activities. It’s less chaos, more cuddle vibes.
2. M&S Launches Their Version Of Viral Dubai Chocolate
Just when you thought chocolate couldn’t get better, M&S turned around and said, hold my bar. The Big Daddy now comes in a pistachio flavour and it’s making waves on every sweet tooth’s feed. Here’s the scoop: creamy milk chocolate, salted caramel, roasted pistachios, pistachio crème, and a crispy biscuit base. Basically, it’s the edible equivalent of luxury loungewear.
3. Say Hello to Robotaxis at Zayed Airport
Abu Dhabi is letting AI take the wheel, literally. Zayed International Airport now has robotaxis, thanks to TXAI. No driver, no awkward small talk, just futuristic solo rides. TXAI already clocked over 430,000 kilometres without a single oopsie. While there’s still a safety operator onboard for now, the tech’s ready for full autonomy. It cuts carbon emissions by 15% and traffic accidents by 18%.
4. UAE’s First Flying Taxi Port Gets A Green Light
The future of travel just took off, literally. UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority approved the design for the country’s first hybrid heliport at Abu Dhabi’s Cruise Terminal in Zayed Port.
This pad is ready for both old-school helicopters and shiny new eVTOLs (also known as flying taxis). With over 650,000 visitors annually, this spot is no quiet corner, making it the perfect launch zone. It’s the UAE’s first eVTOL-ready heliport, pushing forward sky-high mobility.
5. Saudia Orders 20 New A330neos, Because Why Not Fly Fancier?
Saudia Group just made it rain planes. They’ve inked a deal with Airbus for 20 new A330neos, ten of which are headed to flyadeal, their low-cost carrier.
These wide-body jets will boost their fleet, support more routes, and probably make your next flight feel a bit more luxe. More destinations, better tech, and smoother rides inbound.
6. Sharjah To Oman Under AED 100? Yes Please
