From E-Visa To Family Visa; Now Eligible Foreigners Can Apply For Kuwait Visa Through New Portal!

On Wednesday, July 16, the Kuwait Visa Platform was launched by the Interior Ministry. Through this platform, foreign nationals can apply for four types of visas to visit Kuwait online. As it happens, the portal has been launched on the government’s communication centre website, and we are here to tell you all about the newly launched online portal.

Kuwait Launches Online Portal For Kuwait Visa Platform

As revealed in a report by Kuwait Times, the Interior Ministry launched the Kuwait Visa platform, wherein foreign individuals can apply for four types of visas for the country. There are different types of visas that can be applied for by foreign nationals on the newly launched portal. They can visit the kuwaitvisa.moi.gov.kw for this purpose. And through the move, it is bound to make applying for the visa a lot easier.

What Kind Of Visas Can Foreigners Apply For?

These are as follows:

• Through this portal, foreign nationals can apply for Tourist Visas online. This e-visa allows them to visit the country for tourism and entertainment, and it is valid for up to 90 days from the date of entry. However, this type of visa is only issued to those nationals who are allowed to enter Kuwait through a visa on arrival. This includes nationals of the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, countries in Europe and Asia.
• The next type of visa that they can apply for is a Family Visit Visa. This visa is issued to families who wish to join their relatives living in Kuwait. However, it is only issued through a relative with an official residency in Kuwait. Not to mention, this type of visa is available to all nationals and is valid for 30 days.
• The next type of visa is a Business Visa, for which people can apply online. So, if there are people who wish to visit Kuwait for business purposes, the visa is issued through local companies who are hosting business partners, contracts and even organised business meetings. As it happens, it is issued through major corporations and hotels and is for 30 days
• The last type of visa is issued on the website, which Government Visit Visa. This is issued to officials of foreign countries. These are hosted by the government as well for 30 days. However, since the visa is issued through government bodies, these are accordance with specific diplomatic portals.

Kuwaitis Now Eligible For E-Visas For India

This comes at a time when it was recently revealed that Kuwaitis are now eligible for electronic visas in five categories while visiting India. The tourist visas are valid for up to 5 years. Business visas are valid for up to 1 year, and medical, medical attendant, and conference visas are issued for shorter durations. Through this development, Kuwaitis can apply for the visa and the entire process is completed online.
