It was an honour to meet the man himself at his residence! We indulged in delicious Maharashtrian food while chatting about the upcoming travel projects in India. Nitin Gadkari Disclosed Epic Future Plans For Travel Projects

Towards the end of the episode, Kamiya spoke about the development of roadways aiding in smooth travelling. She also talked about the future of automobiles in India, whether there are any potential projects on flying cars or more. The minister has loads of futuristic projects for India and revealed some of the excellent ones on our show.

Nitin Ji shared that he is actively involved in adding countless ropeway and cable cars across India. He will also launch funicular railways for ease of journey on steep slopes. For Bengaluru, he plans to introduce 200 to 250-seater double-decker buses that will operate in the air! Yes, you read that absolutely right!

Nitin Gadkari said, “I am planning on an electric highway project connecting Delhi to Jaipur and a cable bus. Then, another 260 cable car ropeways are being constructed!” That is not all; there is more.

An Update On DB Patil Navi Mumbai Airport

As a true Mumbaikar who spends most of her time travelling to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, the next project revealed by Nitin Gadkari left Kamiya perplexed. Nitin disclosed that he is building a water taxi service for the upcoming airport, DB Patil Navi Mumbai Airport. The water taxi services will provide a direct route and effortless travel to the new airport from Vasai-Virar and Kalyan in under 17 minutes! 

This decision was made to reduce road traffic congestion and lesser travel time to the Navi Mumbai Airport. Along with this, the water body is also assisting in transportation. Imagine taking a water transport only to reach your airway transport; fascinating! We can’t wait to witness these futuristic developments for the roadways and transportation sector of India, Nitin!
