From Labourer In Wayanad To ₹4,000 Cr Idli-Dosa Empire, Here’s The Story Of PC Musthafa Of iD Fresh Food

PC Musthafa

Many of us dream big but most people are not able to bring their ideas to fruition. But PC Musthafa of iD Fresh Food is not most people. From working as a daily wage labourer and living in a tiny hut in Wayanad to owning a sprawling 7,000 sq ft mansion, he has come a long way. His journey to setting up his idli dosa empire worth ₹4,000 crore was long and arduous but worth it.

From Labourer In Wayanad To ₹4,000 Crore Idli Dosa Empire

During his childhood, PC Musthafa lived in Wayanad in a small hut with his parents and three sisters. Their conditions were so dire that the roof would leak during the monsoon season. Every year they would have to repair the roof of the hut again.

Musthafa’s father worked as a daily wage worker but struggled to make ends meet. So, at the tender age of ten, he joined his father’s profession as well. He was paid a mere ₹10 per day for his daily work. However, it was not long before his entrepreneurial spirit shone through.

He set up a small sweet shop where he sold sweets that he purchased in bulk. In many ways, that was his first entrepreneurial venture and his uncle was his first investor. With the money he made, he purchased goats and then a cow. The cow then became a source of income.
