Ramadan vibes are loading, and so are new RTA timings. If you live in Dubai, you know the Holy Month brings shifts in schedules, from Metro rides to parking metres and even those ever-helpful vehicle testing centres. To keep you from playing guessing games, here’s your one-stop guide to all things RTA this Ramadan.

Ramadan Timings For Public Parking

Paid parking follows a split shift during Ramadan. You can park between 8 am to 6 pm and again from 8 pm to midnight. That middle gap gives everyone time to break their fast and avoid parking drama.

Multi-level parking buildings couldn’t care less about timings, they stay open 24/7, so no stress if you need a safe spot for your car after suhoor.

If you rely on the Red and Green Line, here’s your new Ramadan timetable:

  • Monday to Thursday: 5 am to 12 am
  • Friday: 5 am to 1 am (because Friday nights deserve longer hours)
  • Saturday: 5am to 12am
  • Sunday: 8 am to 12 am

This gives you plenty of options for both work commutes and post-iftar adventures.

Dubai Tram,  The Beach Route Keeps Rolling

The Dubai Tram gets a little glow-up too. From Monday to Saturday, it runs from 6 am to 1 am. Sundays are slightly lazier, kicking off at 9 am and running till 1 am.

Dubai Buses Check Before You Step

Bus schedules do a little Ramadan shuffle too. To avoid standing at a bus stop staring into space, download the S’hail App,  it’s got all the latest bus timings updated in real-time. Pro tip: Save your favourite routes for quick access.

Marine Transport, Smooth Sailing All Month

Fancy a boat ride during Ramadan? You’ll need to check the marine transport timings directly via the official RTA website. Whether you’re hopping on an abra or cruising with a ferry, updated schedules will guide your journey.

Customer Happiness Centres

The main Customer Happiness Centres (Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Manara, and Al Tawar) will open from:

  • Monday to Thursday: 9 am to 5 pm
  • Friday: 9 am to 12 pm

If you need help after hours, Smart Centres in those same locations stay operational 24/7 — because happiness never sleeps.

Vehicle Testing Centres, Get That Certificate Without The Stress

If your car needs testing, timings change slightly during Ramadan:

  • Monday to Thursday & Saturday: 8 am to 4 pm (Morning) and 8 pm to 12 am (Evening)
  • Friday: 8 am to 12 pm and 8 pm to 12 am

Sundays are all about technical inspections only, running the same 8 am to 12 pm and 8 pm to 12 am shifts.

While these timings apply across major centres, some locations (like Hatta or Jebel Ali) may follow slightly different schedules. Always double-check directly with the centre you plan to visit, better safe than sorry.
