In fact, Mangalore-based chef, Shriya Shetty recently shared a glimpse of the Mangalorean buffet served during Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar.
Chef Shriya Shetty Celebrated Mangalorean Cuisine At Ambanis’s Jamnagar Bash
Chef Shriya Shetty, the founder of BuCo., an artisanal bakehouse in Mangalore, shared a reel on Instagram which went viral in no time. This reel shows the lavish buffet of lip-smacking Mangalorean dishes curated by Shriya Shetty for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Jamnagar bash. The extravagant 3-day event had an elaborate spread of regional and international cuisines to tantalise the taste buds of the high-profile guests.
Her viral reel featured an elaborate spread of chafing dishes filled with delicious-looking Mangalorean gravies and other delicacies. In her caption, Shriya writes that out of the 2500 chefs from across the globe who catered at the wedding, she and her team got to represent Mangalore. She further adds that she was the only one from Kudla who got the opportunity to represent their amazing cuisine. Her most memorable moment catering for the Ambanis’s pre-wedding event was watching guests return several times for neer dose.

Guests Kept Coming Back For Neer Dose
The Mangalorean chef shared a list of dishes that featured on the lavish menu. Some of them include Neer Dose with Bella Tarai (dosas made with rice batter paired with sweet poha), Tekkare Da Adde (Steamed Cucumber Cakes), Kadle Bajeel(sweet-spicy poha), Mattu Gulla Sukkha( semi-dry curry made with small, green brinjals), Mushroom Ghee Roast and Kori Rotti.

Apart from the Ambanis, Chef Shriya Shetty has also cooked for Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor. Well, this Mangalorean chef has made Mangaloreans proud indeed! And we can’t wait to see more of her and her food!
