Booking.com recently shared some fascinating travel predictions for the next year and 85 per cent of Indian travellers said how they feel more alive while holidaying at different scenic destinations. To curate the report, the online travel company surveyed over 27,000 travellers from 33 countries and territories.
- Ego Enthusiasts: Travelling for self-discovery looks like a huge thing for travel experiences in the next year. 82 per cent of Indian travel enthusiasts love the idea of reinventing themselves on a holiday. 76 per cent of people want to be confident and be the hero of their travel adventures. The alter ego enthusiasts in this category wish to be their 2.0 version.
- Cool Cationers: Tourists are making itineraries to cooler destinations in between the rise in temperatures everywhere. 76 per cent of visitors from India plan to explore places that are not hot and also keep themselves away from the unbeatable heat. 74 per cent are planning destinations based on climate change. Water-centric trips are exciting for 38 per cent of people. Floating yoga and snow meditation are expected to be in demand.
- Surrender Seekers: Getting surprised and enjoying a taste of the unknown on holidays are big factors among many. More than 74 per cent are eager to go on surprise vacations without knowing the destination. More than 54 per cent are interested in travelling with a group of strangers.

- Culinary Excavators: Relishing good food and enjoying gastronomic experiences are major preferences for many travel enthusiasts. 78 per cent of culinary excavators would love to gorge on a feast of the must-eat dishes in their destinations. Also, 86 per cent of Indian travellers want to explore indigenous cuisines.
- Reboot Retreaters: Travellers show a keen interest in exploring the world for self-improvement. 59 per cent of travel enthusiasts from India are fascinated by matchmaking holidays and enjoy a spark with their partner. Just like matchmaking, 53 per cent are also going for heartbreak holidays.
- A La Carte Affluencers: Budget-friendly travel itineraries are going to be a hit as people want to spend on luxury but within a limit. Money-saving strategies and à la carte luxuries appear interesting to a lot of people. 76 per cent of Indian travellers will use AI to search for deals to enhance travel journeys.

- Mindful Aesthetes: People are becoming aware and conscious of the climate crisis and many are taking action as well. Sustainability and style are all set to blend in the next year. 77 per cent of Indian travel enthusiasts are searching for stays that are built with sustainable additions. 81 per cent want to have lots of plants and greenery inside the properties.
