Ladakh is the one place that almost everyone wants to visit. Even if you don’t see yourself as someone who has an affinity for travel, you cannot deny that Ladakh seems one of the more mystical places that you wouldn’t mind visiting. Well, we at Curly Tales recently had the phenomenal opportunity to visit the enigmatic terrain of Ladakh. We have curated a special list of things you can do in Ladakh in 24 hours so even if you’re here for a short time, you can experience the best that Ladakh has to offer!
Here Is How You Can Spend 24 Hours In Ladakh
Before we start with the amazing places, it is important to note that Ladakh is situated at a higher altitude which means that you may encounter some breathing difficulties. Another important thing to keep in mind is to stay hydrated and to keep taking deep breaths.
During summer, the temperature varies between 20° C to 9° C. In winter, Ladakh witnesses sub-zero temperatures that can dip as low as -20° C. The best time to visit Ladakh is between May and September. There is a slight nip in the air that makes it pleasant without making you feel like you’re freezing.
Ladakh offers a plethora of experiences for the curious traveller. From the local cuisine to the local landscapes, everything is exquisite!
From Shey Monastery To Leh Market, Places To Visit
We visited some of the most tranquil monasteries in Leh. Starting with Shey, we also went to Thiksey and Shanti Stupa. If natural landscapes are more your speed, we also visited Indus View Point and Sindhu Ghat.
And of course, no trip is ever complete without shopping for some souvenirs. We visited the bustling Leh Market where we were stunned by the craftsmanship of local artisans. After such a long and resplendent day, we enjoyed an exquisite vegetarian meal at The Tibetan Kitchen.
We then bade farewell to Ladakh with our hearts and tummies full!
