A three-hour drive away from Bengaluru, Mysuru is a city known for the opulent Mysuru Palace, which still houses the royal family. This well-planned city has over time seen a rise in alfresco cafes and patisseries.

So, here’s a list of Tanvi Gaikwad’s Mysuru reccos.

Roambay is a cosy hostel in Mysuru where you can get a bed starting at₹ 1,272/night in a 6-bed dorm. This 100-year-old property has a beautiful blend of Indian and British architecture.

A visit to Mysuru would be futile without tucking into a plate of piping hot Mylari Dosa. the soft dosa topped with white butter is a treat for the senses.

Explore Mysuru Palace, an opulent establishment which still houses the royal Wadiyar family. Overlooking the Chamundi Hills, this palace is a must-visit sightseeing spot in Mysuru.

Located in the heart of the city, St. Philomena’s Cathedral was built using the Neo-Gothic style of architecture.

Sapa Bakery is a German Bakery that prides itself on its freshly baked doughnuts and cakes. Pair their bakes with a piping hot cup of coffee.

The last recommendation is The Old House, a vegetarian Italian restaurant that serves wood-fired pizzas, refreshing mocktails and lovely desserts in a cosy set-up.
