For those itching to travel abroad, there is a great piece of news for you. Fully vaccinated Indians can now visit Turkey without mandatory quarantine as per the latest travel guidelines issued by the Turkish Embassy in New Delhi. However, they will have to be vaccinated at least 14 days before their departure date. Here are all the travel guidelines you need to know to visit Turkey.
Indian Passengers Vaccinated Will Covishield Will Not Have To Quarantine
Indian travellers vaccinated with Covishield will be allowed to travel to Turkey without any issue. Covaxin is still awaiting approval from WHO and is yet to be listed on the emergency list. However, Indian travellers who have taken both doses of Covishield will have to carry negative RT-PCR test reports along with them. Children under the age of 12 years will be exempted from the RT-PCR and vaccine certificate requirements.

RT-PCR Test Report Mandatory For Vaccinated Travellers Too!
In the fresh travel guidelines, the Turkish Embassy said that the passengers travelling from India to Turkey must submit a negative RT-PCR test 72 hours before arrival. Those without an RT-PCR test report will be asked to quarantine in their residence or declared address. Unvaccinated passengers travelling to Turkey must quarantine for 14 days and undergo an RT-PCR test on the 10th day of their arrival. Those who fail to get tested on the 10th day will be released from quarantine after 14 days.

Despite the travel relaxations, the DGCA has extended the ban on commercial flights till September 30. However, international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes on a case-to-case basis. Only special flights have been operating under the Vande Bharat Mission and ‘air bubble’ arrangements with selected countries.
