The entire country is buzzing with news and updates regarding the current G20 Summit 2023 which is being held at the National Capital. Esteemed dignitaries from some of the most prominent nations in the world are in attendance. This includes the prime minister and first lady of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murthy. They went to pay a visit to one of the most significant and revered temples in the country, the Akshardham Temple in Delhi.
Rishi Sunak, Akshata Murthy Visit Akshardham Temple
India is hosting numerous esteemed political dignitaries because of the currently ongoing G20 Summit. The UK PM Rishi Sunak and his wife and first lady, Akshata Murthy, are in the country for the summit. They paid a visit to the Akshardham temple, which is one of the most revered ones in the country.
It was inaugurated in 2005 by Pramukh Swami Maharaj in the presence of dignitaries like Manmohan Singh, APJ Abdul Kalam, and LK Advani. The beautiful architecture of the temple is constructed according to the Pancharatra Shastra and the Vastu Shastra.
In a post shared by the social media handle of the temple on X (formerly, Twitter), saffron-clad monks are seen welcoming and posing along with the British PM. Akshata Murthy is also seen along with her husband. The caption said how their visit was a celebration of the shared cultural heritage of the UK and India.

G20 Summit 2023: Swedish Dignitaries Pay A Visit Too
The first couple of the UK were not the only ones who paid the temple a visit. In a different post shared on the micro-blogging website, the social media handle also shared pictures of dignitaries from the Swedish parliament.
Around ten members of the Swedish Parliament paid a visit to the Akshardham temple. The visit showcased the strong cultural, diplomatic, and political friendship between the two countries. In 2007, Akshardham was dubbed the ‘World’s Largest Comprehensive Hindu Temple’ by the official adjudicator of the Guinness World Record, Michael Whitty.
