G20 Summit: A Saudi Man Flew Down To India To Meet UAE President; Stopped At Hotel Lobby

G20 Summit that happened in New Delhi, India has been trending over the weekend. From the over-the-top decorations that lit up the entire city to essential results from the meeting that affected the economic ties between countries attending the summit, there have been quite a bit of developments that have been reported from the city. However, it was also reported recently, that a Saudi national had entered the hotel lobby where the UAE president was staying to ask for help for his brother who was admitted to a hospital in the kingdom.

Saudi National Comes To India To Meet UAE President

Recently, the Indian Express reported that in the case of an evident security breach during the G20 Summit, on Saturday, September 9, a Saudi Arabian national entered the five-star hotel where the UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan had been staying. Yes, although he was stopped by the security personnel while trying to meet him in the lobby, on being questioned, he told the personnel that his brother was admitted to a hospital in Saudi Arabia. So, he had come down all the way to Delhi to meet the UAE conference to seek his help. As it happens, the man had booked a stay at a renowned hotel in the Aerocity.

He Wanted To Ask Help For His Brother Admitted To A Hospital

According to the report, it mentioned that after checking in on Saturday, he asked the hotel staff to provide him with a cab to travel to Delhi. As a result, they gave him a Black Innova Crysta, which had a sticker issued by the Delhi Police Security Unit, it should be noted that the stickers had been provided to 16 hotels across the Delhi NCR where delegates were staying so that they could put them on their private cabs, which would help the security personnel, identify the vehicles carrying delegates, as enter the premises. On being questioned by the intelligence agencies, the man mentioned that he was not aware of the protocol and that his flight was on Sunday.

After the Chief of the Protocol of the MEA was informed about the incident, the man and the cab driver were later let go from the Tughlak Road Police Station with no legal action against them.
