The G20 Summit will be held in New Delhi on September 9-10. The city is all set for this huge event and has implemented various restrictions and rules. Delhi Police also mentioned that it is not a lockdown for people to panic. All the restrictions, rules and more are implemented from today. On Friday morning, stringent traffic restrictions with respect to the G20 Summit came into effect. The New Delhi district is designated zone 1 as of early Friday morning, and this will stay in place until 11:59 pm on Sunday.
The police have requested that people avoid places that come under controlled and regulated zones. This includes Kartavya Path and India Gate, where people generally go for a walk, to cycle, or to picnic.
Since 9 p.m. on September 7, the entry of goods vehicles from different cities has been stopped. Only goods vehicles that carry essentials like vegetables, fruits, milk, and medical supplies will be allowed.
On September 8, 9, and 10, starting at 4 am people will be able to use Metro services from all terminal stations. It should be noted that people will not be able to board or deboard at the Supreme Court station on September 9 and 10.

Medical Emergency Services Are Not Banned

Bus services will run on Ring Road and beyond it towards the Delhi borders. The movement of buses that enter Delhi from the Rajokri border is suspended until September 10. The interstate buses are allowed to come into the city from other borders. Unauthorized vehicles and non-destined traffic will also not be allowed to enter the New Delhi district.
Medical emergency vehicles are allowed to move around the city. The area inside the Ring Road is termed a ‘regulated zone’. The meaning of this zone is that only emergency vehicles, vehicles for specific destinations like railway stations and airports, authorised residents, and certain essential service vehicles will be allowed to use this road.
Online delivery has been banned in the New Delhi district, where the G20 delegates will be staying, and also at the venue of the event. This does not include the online medicine delivery service. Apart from these medical services, postal services and samples from pathological labs will be collected.
