All eyes are on Delhi as the capital gears up to host the coveted G20 Summit. It’s happening from September 9 to 10 at the Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan. World leaders have gathered for the global event where discussions on trade, climate change, cryptocurrencies and more will take place. At the summit, the leaders will be served delicious Indian delicacies celebrating millets and vegetarian regional cuisines at their finest. To lay no stone unturned in their hospitality, a Jaipur-based firm supplied 15,000 silverware items for the G20 summit.
G20 Summit In Delhi: Jaipur Firm Supplies 15,000 Silverware Made By 200 Artisans From India
At the 18th G20 Summit hosted in New Delhi, delegates attending it will be served food in beautifully carved bespoke silverware and gold-plated utensils. According to a report by CNBC TV18, the silverware has elegant motifs inspired by Idnia’s rich cultural heritage. The Jaipur-based metalware firm, Iris Jaipur supplied 15,000 silverware items to serve meals to dignitaries.

Laksh Pabuwal, the owner of Iris Jaipur revealed to PTI that it took 200 artisans, a total of 50,000 hours to craft the 15,000 silverware items for the G20 Summit in Delhi. The silverware has regal motifs with a steel or brass base and and silver coating. The glasses used to serve welcome drinks will have gold plating. Not just for the G20 Summit, even luxury hotels housing world leaders for the event have ordered silverware items from Iris Jaipur.
There Were Motifs Of Peacocks & Flowers On The Silver Plates
The owner’s father, Rajesh Pabuwal revealed to PTI that the silverware and tableware are all made in India. 200 artisans from Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and other regions worked tirelessly to design this intricately carved silverware. The silverware at the G20 Summit Delhi promote the ‘Make In India’ scheme by the PM Modi government.
For dinner on September 8, G20 world leaders relished exquisite Indian dishes like Paneer Lababdar, Subz Korma, Kuttu Malpua and more. The dishes were served on the regal silverware with motifs of India’s national bird, peacock, flowers and other animals.
