Getting Your Liquor License In Dubai Just Got Cheaper

You can purchase and consume alcohol in Dubai, ONLY if you hold a liquor license. And in case you don’t have a license, now is the time to buy one! It is now super easy to get a liquor license in Dubai. All you need is a your passport, Visa, Emirates ID and a picture.

Earlier, getting a liquor license would require you to submit a NOC from your employer, boss, father or husband, along with a salary certificate that shows an earning of more than AED 3000. However, it’s not the case now!

The rules have been simplified and now all you need is a copy of your Emirates ID, passport, visa, and a passport size photograph. Once you have all the documents, the processing can be completed on online by paying AED 270. Upon approval, you can collect the license from a nearby MMI or African and Eastern store. In order to apply for the license, you must be over 21 years of age and a non-muslim. The new rule applies only to MMI outlets. Plus, you can avail an additional AED 100 discount when you use code: MMI20.

Holding a liquor license is a legal requirement for ANY Dubai resident who wishes to drink, transport or simply store alcohol at home.
