However, on the 23rd of June, Friday, the IMD issues a yellow alert for Mumbai and Thane for the 26th and 27th of June. According to an article recently published by The Times Of India, a yellow alert is issued when there is a likelihood of heavy rains in isolated parts of the town.

The article also mentioned that the IMD weather station in Santacruz this month has recorded a total rainfall of 17.9 millimetres, whereas the weather station in Colaba recorded 23.6 millimetres.
