Komala Vilas Restaurant Remains Shut For 2 Months

Komala Vilas Restaurant is a 75-year-old, Indian-origin business in Singapore. It became quite famous after hosting Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi back in 2015. The restaurant has been shut for nearly two months, citing renovation as the reason for closure.

As per a report by the Singapore Daily, the restaurant posted a notice on its shutter saying, “We are temporarily closed for renovation starting Monday, January 19, 2026.” The sign had no further update on when the restaurant would reopen. The newspaper also reported that no signs of renovation work were visible at the site. However, there were no signs of any renovation works being carried out at the site, the newspaper added.
