Curly Tales’ Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, likes to refer to herself as a certified beach queen. But even she pushed Seychelles down her list for years. Why? Because there were very few direct flights from Mumbai, it was too far, and travel was hectic overall. But then, things changed, and she finally took the dream trip with her fam to Seychelles for a luxurious escape at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles.
Quick Hop To A Paradise: Four Seasons Resort Seychelles

Kamiya booked herself a 4.5-hour direct flight from Mumbai to Mahé. Landed straight to turquoise bliss. Once she landed, she checked into Four Seasons Resort Seychelles, where her “room” was actually a private villa tucked between lush hills and clear, pristine waters.
And no, not just any villa. The kind with a plunge pool that can easily make you stay inside forever. Guests get private beach access too.
Breakfast With A View (And Then Another View)
When at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles, luxury comes floating to you in an edible way. Yes, we are talking about the famous, Insta-worthy floating breakfast that made its mandatory appearance as she took a dip in her private pool. She also had the team set up a full breakfast spread in her gazebo to enjoy her first meal of the day with bewitching views of the island.
If we had to summarise her stay at Four Seasons Resort Seychelles, it could be a soft-life trailer of spa, swim, sleep, eat, repeat.
Fruit Farms, Selfie Views & Creole Nights
For a bit of sightseeing, Kamiya visited Vallée des Fruits experience, Seychelles’ first organic fruit plantation. It wasn’t the usual “just strolling across the plants and exploring random fruits” The entire landscape looked like it had been built for selfies. She ended the day with a Creole-themed dinner, packed with flavour and island warmth.
That’s when she realised something people often miss. Seychelles may look tiny on the map, but it’s actually a spread of 115 islands. So, she set out for her next adventure.
Exclusive Stay At Four Seasons At Desroches Island

Kamiya hopped onto a short domestic flight to Four Seasons at Desroches Island. It’s one of the most exclusive stays in the country. If you’ve ever spotted celebs posing against a dreamy ocean backdrop, chances are it was this place. And yes, it even has its own private airport that only gives access to guests who have booked their stays at this resort.
Her villa here took things up a notch. It was a villa with a garden that had its own pool and literally led to a pristine beach. Could it get any dreamier? And not just one, this resort has access to four beaches. To get around the 5.5 km stretch, she received a bicycle.
Meeting A 140-Year-Old Superstar In A Relaxed Island
While exploring, she made an unexpected friend. Meeting George, the island’s oldest resident, a 140-year-old Aldabra tortoise, was a highlight of the trip for her. When she wasn’t hanging out with George, Kamiya tried snooker, football, table tennis, and all the easygoing island fun. Four Seasons at Desroches Island guests can land here, and with just 72 villas and residences, the vibe stays exclusive. People can come here to just relax at one of those hammocks, cabanas and empty beaches. That’s how luxury looks.
For the adventurous folks, there’s even a Creole cooking class that wants to swap lingering around the beach for a little culinary flair. Even Kamiya tried her hand at this activity.

Dining Under The Sky At Lighthouse
Four Seasons at Desroches Island has four restaurants: Claudine, Ahi, La Pizzeria and The Lighthouse. Calling The Lighthouse “a restaurant” honestly feels rude. It’s more like a Michelin wish-list date with the ocean, where the sky, sea, and food fight for your attention.
All of this comes at around ₹1.05 lakh per night (€1,000++), and depending on your villa and vibes, it might go up to ₹21 lakhs per night (€20,000++).
Kamiya left Seychelles sun-kissed, relaxed and already planning her next return.
