The recently held Skytrax World Airport Awards honoured some of the best airports in the world in various categories. Singapore’s Changi Airport bagged the Best Airport title for 2025. The UK-based aviation rating platform also released a list of the World’s Cleanest Airport 2025 and nine of the top 10 names on the list are of Asian airports. Interestingly, Goa’s Manohar International Airport was crowned the ‘Cleanest Airport in India & South Asia’ category.
Goa’s Manohar International Airport Bags Big Awards
According to India Today, the Goa Airport made an incredible debut and bagged awards for the ‘Best Airport under 5 Million Passengers’ category as well as the ‘Cleanest Airport in India & South Asia’. The Skytrax ratings are based on global passenger feedback and are among the most respected honours in the aviation industry across the globe.
The Skytrax World Airport Awards 2025 were held on April 9 during the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Madrid. Goa’s Mopa opened in 2022 and was developed by GMR Goa International Airport Limited. Reportedly, the airport handles around 100 aircraft movements and about 15,000 passengers daily, on average. Also, it is the 15th busiest airport in India.
Other Indian airports were also honoured at the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2025. Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport won the title of ‘Best Airport Staff in India & South Asia’, Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport was named the ‘Best Airport in India & South Asia’, and Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport bagged the ‘Best Regional Airport in India & South Asia’ title.

World’s Cleanest Airports 2025
Understanding the importance of cleanliness, Asia became home to nine of the World’s Top 10 Cleanest Airports 2025, as Skytrax’s World Airport Awards. Here’s what the full list looks like –
1. Haneda Airport, Tokyo
2. Changi Airport, Singapore
3. Hamad Airport, Doha
4. Incheon Airport, Seoul
5. Hong Kong Airport
6. Centrair Nagoya Airport, Japan
7. Narita Airport, Tokyo
8. Kansai Airport, Osaka
9. Taoyuan Airport, Taiwan
10. Zurich Airport
Tokyo’s Haneda Airport bagged the award for the World’s Cleanest Airport 2025 in the Major Airport Category. That’s not all, Japan’s Tokyo Narita Airport, Centrair Nagoya Airport, and Kansai Airport also made it to the top 10 list.
