If you are someone who has stayed back in Dubai for a fun-filled time with your family, chances are that you probably plan to go out for a drive with your loved ones, especially on the weekend. And if this holds true, there is no better time to take a leisurely drive than one in the evening. However, if you are planning to do so this evening or maybe tomorrow, you might want to read this article as the Dubai RTA has released important guidelines for its key routes.

Traffic Expected On Major Roads For 2 Days

The Dubai Roads & Transport Authority took to Twitter on Friday, June 30 to announce that motorists can expect traffic delays on some of the major roads on Sunday and Saturday (which is today). The reason for this has been attributed to the fact that there is a series of exciting shows happening at the Coca-Cola Arena. So, with many people thronging the venue to enjoy the live performances, it is expected to cause some major traffic delays on the roads. In the alert issued, motorists have been warned about expected traffic on roads, such as Al Safa Street, Happiness Street, and Al Badaa Street between 7 PM and 2 AM on the aforementioned days.

In fact, the Dubai RTA also recently tweeted about the change in temporary bus services on E100 that will remain in place till Sunday, July 2. Under this, the last bus service to Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station will depart at 2 PM from Al Ghubaiba Metro Bus Stop. Moreover, the route will be set through the Ibn Battuta Bus Station in order to reach the intended destination. Besides this, Dubai RTA also advised people attending the performances at Coca-Cola Arena on the two days, to board the Dubai Metro through the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Station for an easier arrival at the venue.

So, if you are also planning to step out between the aforementioned peak traffic hours, you might want to keep this update in mind.
