According to the Millennium Post, a trial was conducted between Gandhi Nagar and the Super Corridor, a key segment of the upcoming Indore Metro, over the weekend. MP Urban Development and Housing (UD&H) Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and Additional Chief Secretary of the UD&H Department, Sanjay Shukla, were also present during this trial.

This corridor will connect key areas of Indore and offer a fast, efficient, and eco-friendly transport system to the people. While the stations are equipped to handle six-coach trains, the metro authorities have decided that initial operations will begin with three-coach sets. There will be provisions to scale up based on commuter demand. After a successful trial run, Kailash Vijayvargiya expressed his happiness about the project’s progress and mentioned that three more metro trains are ready to run in the city.

Reports suggest that a significant emphasis has been placed on safety and operational integrity during the trial phase. Comprehensive assessments were conducted on construction quality, signalling systems, telecommunications infrastructure, and emergency response procedures to ensure they met all national standards.
