Good News! Slovenia Is Rolling Out Digital Nomad Visa; Eligibility, How To Apply & More Details Inside

We come bearing good news for all remote workers! Slovenia is joining the list of European countries that offer digital nomad visas to non‑EU and non‑EEA citizens. The beautiful European nation will roll out the new digital nomad visa from November 21, 2025, and here’s all you need to know about it.

Slovenia To Launch Digital Nomad Visa

After Portugal, Spain, Croatia, Greece, Estonia, and Germany, Slovenia has become the latest European country to offer digital nomad visas. Under this visa, non‑EU and non‑EEA citizens working for foreign employers or clients will get a one‑year permit to live in Slovenia. According to The Economic Times, the visa will be launched in November this year.

It is to be noted that this is the first time Slovenia has rolled out an official route for remote workers. With the launch of its digital nomad visa, Slovenia aims to attract remote workers to its scenic Alpine landscapes, charming towns, and more affordable lifestyle, especially when compared to neighbouring Italy and Austria.

As per media reports, Slovenia is aiming to promote its capital, Ljubljana, by launching more coworking spaces. They will also draw attention to destinations like Maribor, Celje, Kranj and Koper by underscoring their natural beauty. The idea is to make Slovenia an ideal option for remote workers looking for a quieter, affordable place to live and work.
