However, with this increased travel came an increase in airfare, especially on the India and UAE routes. As a result, expats who had travelled to India for their summer vacation had delayed booking their return tickets, since ticket prices were sky high. However, it is expected that there will be a slight dip in the airfares in the coming days, thereby offering some respite to the flyers. Here’s all about the airfare-related development.
Airfares To Reduce In Coming Days?
It’s no secret that for the last few days, airfares have been quite high, especially for travellers flying between the UAE and India. However, it seems that they are going to receive some respite, as according to a report by Gulf News, it was revealed that airfares are expected to drop by 15 to 30% after September 14. Yes, passengers from the UAE, who had been delaying their plans to travel because of the high air fares can finally take time to book their tickets. So, with this decrease, airfares is expected to reduce from its high summer prices of AED1800 or even AED 2600!

Until When Is This Going To Continue?
So, with the reduction in airfare, rates are expected to go as low as AED794 to AED952, and this trend is expected to stay in place till November 1. Not to mention, the prices are also expected to remain consistent on flights to major cities in India! Yes, the report also revealed that while the airfares are expected to remain high during the second week of January 2024, the reason for this has been attributed to the festival season and New Year rush. It should be mentioned that this reduction in airfare is especially going to be a relief for people as currently fares to major Indian cities like Mumbai and Delhi, are as high as AED900 to AED1200.
