According to an article that was recently published by the Hindustan Times or the HT, the upgrade includes 136 Vande Bharat services, 97 Humsafar Expresses, and eight Tejas Express trains. These additions complement the existing 144 high-end services.

They consist of Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains, which were already available under the scheme. The Department of Personnel & Training has outlined detailed guidelines for various employee grades. For shorter and medium-distance journeys, staff up to level 11 are entitled to chair car accommodation.

These journeys may be on Vande Bharat, Tejas and Shatabdi services. Employees at level 12 and above may utilise executive chair car facilities. For longer routes served by trains with sleeping berths, employees at level 12 and above can travel in AC first class.

This is for trains such as Rajdhani services. Employees between levels six and 11 are eligible for AC second class. Staff at level 5 and below may use AC third-class accommodations. The LTC scheme, a concessional travel benefit, enables government employees to journey to their hometown.

It also allows government employees to explore any destination within India during a four-year block period. The flexible arrangement allows staff to either visit their hometown twice within two years or opt for a combination of hometown and other domestic destinations over the four-year term.
