What images do you have in your mind when you think of Los Angeles? We bet it’s all things luxury and glamour! And inspired by the splendour of luxury and Hollywood, Melrose Place in West Hollywood now houses Gucci’s new, incredibly high-end boutique concept: the Gucci Salon.
Inside The Gucci Salon
Designed by award-winning set and production designer Gideon Ponte, a long-term Gucci collaborator, the store takes inspiration from Hollywood and the first Los Angeles Gucci boutique that opened in 1968 on Rodeo Drive. The new store is just a stone’s throw away from Chloe, Bottega Veneta, Balmain, Oscar de la Renta and others.
Moreover, this Gucci Salon is not deemed like the rest of the stores. Through opulent textiles and sophisticated finishes in elegant white tones and with crystal chandeliers, the space gives the impression of a private house with the joie de vivre of a classic Hollywood movie set. Even the dressing rooms feature set décor from famous movie stars, and films, paying homage to the glitz of old Hollywood.

A More Intimate Shopping Space
Perhaps the most luxurious aspect of the new Gucci Salon is its sense of maintaining discreetness. Only private clients are invited by appointment which curates the ultimate experience for each guest. One can expect the highest level of service available within the Gucci client experience. You can find Gucci items that are truly bespoke and rare.
The Gucci Salon features accessories and shoes in precious leather, and high-end custom collections including evening wear, tailoring, and gowns. The space houses the Valigeria range. They are the rigid trunks that echo the original archival styles proposed by Guccio Gucci for the 20th-century jet set. Even high jewellery and watchmaking here will draw on centuries of expertise, creating a truly unique expression of luxury in precious metals and fine gemstones.
The items at this store echo the high glamour value of the precious objects merchandised at the new Salon. There are plans to allocate Gucci Salons within international Gucci stores across exclusive sections and floors by 2023. The iconic locations would be New York, Paris, London, Milan, Dubai, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei, and Tokyo.
Well, it all makes sense for an iconic luxury house like Gucci to have its first Gucci Salon location as a sort of tribute to Hollywood.
