Achieving international airport status in March 2021, the airport’s total area has expanded to an impressive 2.4 million square meters. Notably, the apron’s capacity has surged, now accommodating up to 15 aircraft simultaneously, enhancing operational capabilities. The expansion of flight operations and the concurrent development of airport infrastructure align seamlessly with AlUla’s ambitious objectives. Aspiring to welcome two million visitors annually by 2035, AlUla strives to emerge as a leading model for a practical and sustainable tourism strategy.
