Gurugram: Zomato Customer Complains About Hong’s Kitchen Adding Green Tape On Non-Veg Thukpa; Says, “I Am Feeling So Traumatised” After Eating Chicken

Eating meat or any non-veg food is probably every pure vegetarian’s nightmare. Most vegetarians are very particular about what they eat and the places they order from. Along with vegetarians’ selections of restaurants, these places need to be mindful about serving the right food to customers. Recently, a customer was shocked to see a restaurant adding green tape on a delivery box of non-veg thukpa. Unfortunately, the person is a pure vegetarian.

The Redditor placed an order for a Veg Thukpa and a Non Veg Thukpa from Hong’s Kitchen. The orders were placed on the Zomato app for OP and OP’s friend from the restaurant’s outlet in Sector 43 in Gurugram. According to the information in the Reddit post, both dishes were delivered to the address in boxes with green and red tape.

Green tapes on delivery boxes mean that the food is vegetarian and red tape means non-vegetarian food is inside the takeout dabba. Seeing a green tape in one of the packages, the Reddit user opened it and started to eat. After the second bite, the Zomato customer felt a different taste and realised something was wrong. The OP asked the friend to confirm whether the package with green tape contained Non-Veg Thukpa.

Unfortunately, she confirmed that it was not the Veg Thukpa and had pieces of chicken in it. Being a pure vegetarian, it was a horrifying incident for the Redditor. The OP shared about never eating any non-veg food in life. “I never ate non-veg food in my whole life and because of their irresponsibility I am feeling so traumatised,” they added. Ranting about the terrible incident of misplacing tapes, the customer added how these well-known restaurant chains do not have any value for someone’s beliefs.
