Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr Tawfiq Al-Rabiah recently concluded his official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he engaged in discussions with UAE authorities on various key topics, including the expansion of Tasheer Saudi visa centres in the emirate.
Exploring Expansion Opportunities For Haj Services In UAE
During the discussions, both sides explored the possibility of expanding Tasheer Saudi visa centres in the UAE, aiming to enhance the accessibility and efficiency of visa processing for pilgrims and visitors to Saudi Arabia. Additionally, the minister emphasized the importance of enabling expatriates in the UAE to register their fingerprints before their journey to Saudi Arabia, to reduce waiting times for pilgrims at land and airports.
Enhancing Service Quality
Dr Al-Rabiah and UAE authorities also deliberated on strategies to elevate the quality of services at ports for pilgrims arriving by land, focusing on streamlining entry procedures and expediting processes to ensure a seamless experience for all visitors.
Meetings with officials and authorities involved in providing Umrah services were held to discuss cooperation measures aimed at facilitating the arrival of pilgrims. Discussions revolved around improving and developing services offered by Tasheer visa centres and the Nusuk platform. Efforts were also directed towards enhancing visa facilities for expatriates from the UAE to ensure they have optimal Umrah experiences.
Welcoming UAE Pilgrims & Facilitating Umrah Services
During a meeting with the Executive Director of Islamic Affairs at the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments (GAIAE), the minister warmly welcomed UAE pilgrims entering the Kingdom. Dr. Al-Rabiah reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to increasing the number of UAE pilgrims. Also, they are providing them with comfortable and convenient pilgrimage experiences.

Introduction of The Nusuk Platform
As part of the visit, the minister inaugurated the Nusuk platform exhibition. It showcases its role in enhancing efficiency and services as a comprehensive platform for visiting the Kingdom. Also, it includes its Islamic historical sites. The exhibition aimed to familiarize representatives from the private sector in the UAE with the platform’s offerings and benefits.
Additionally, two workshops focusing on “Crowd Management and Grouping of Pilgrims” and “Rights of Pilgrims” were conducted. It highlighted key aspects of managing pilgrim crowds and ensuring their rights are upheld throughout the pilgrimage journey.
The minister’s visit to the UAE underscores the commitment of both nations to collaborate in enhancing Hajj and Umrah services. Ultimately it aims to facilitate pilgrimages for individuals from around the world.
